The third step to Heal Your Fibromyalgia is to bring the power of mindfulness to your body, and infuse it with calm presence.
Contact the wisdom and intelligence in your body. You will observe the coming and going of body sensation and begin to release habitual tension and distress.
Learn to quiet the reactive stress physiology that drives fibromyalgia and suffering in general
The fourth step to Heal Your Fibromyalgia is learning to shift and heal unpleasant experiences. Mindfulness shines the light of your inner intelligence into the darkness of your pain and suffering. You can thrive and live fully despite difficult circumstances.
Begin to transform the dust-storm of sensation, thought, and emotion that makes up your experience of pain and negativity. Learn to find freedom and joy despite chronic pain and illness.
These are powerful self-healing techniques, and they can have a profound impact on your well-being and outlook. But how do you make it real in your life?
This final module helps you "walk the talk" of this practice. You are likely to experience wonderful discoveries and benefits in the rest of this course. But the real miracles show up in regular practice in your daily life.
Learn about "the pause" which enables you to transform difficult situations, or drop more deeply into appreciation of life's goodness.
Learn tools for maintaining a mind-body practice that empowers you as you heal.
Dr. Shiller gives you the knowledge and skills to activate and dialogue with your Inner Healing Intelligence. From his own experience of nearly 30 years of meditation practice, as well as sharing these techniques with hundreds of people, he will guide you in learning the foundational techniques of accessing and developing a healing state of mind and body.
Each module introduces a different Mind-Body technique. Dr Shiller provides relevant background and theory, expert instructions, and guidance on using the techniques effectively.
Past students report learning to bring on deep relaxation and greater skills in dealing with difficult circumstances. The skills and practice help shift from scared, suffering and overwhelmed to calm, capable and confident.

The course is self-directed so you can start whenever you want. The modules are delivered weekly so you have a chance to practice and internalize the skills.
All of the modules are available in the mini-course website. Therefore, you can catch up or refer back to them at a later date as you wish. The recordings and all support materials will downloadable and available for 12 months after purchase.
Unfortunately for mini-course members, Dr Shiller is not available for individualized advice or coaching. He will continue to provide education and guidance through the What Heals FIbromyalgia Facebook group.

The reward is dependent on the investment. The video modules are roughly 25-40 minutes in length. Its best if you can practice the techniques at least 10 minutes per day. Even better if you can practice 20 minutes twice a day. Think of it like Mind-Body boot camp. If you commit the time and really invest in practicing, your benefits will likely be greater.
You will need a computer with reliable high-speed internet connection. Its helpful if you have a portable device on which to download the practice mp3s. The video course can be played on a smart phone.
It is recommended that you have a journal where you can write and process your experiences.
Dr. Shiller completed his undergraduate training in engineering at MIT, earned his MD at Duke University, and completed a double residency program at Harvard Medical School.
In the last thirty years, he has devoted thousands of hours to studying and practicing mindfulness meditation, yoga, and tai chi, and completed advanced training in teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction at University of Massachusetts under the leadership of Jon Kabat-Zinn.
For 17 years he has pursued extensive study of Torah, Chassidut, and Kabbalah, which are the foundation of his daily spiritual and religious life and form a framework for his philosophy of healing. His mind-body training integrates principles from modern science and multiple consciousness disciplines in a way that supports his students in keeping with their belief systems.
Dr. Shiller completed fellowship training in Integrative Medicine at University of Maryland Center for Complementary Medicine Research.
He is a board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry) and Holistic Integrative Medicine, and fully licensed in Israel, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
